I was privileged to own N22EA since January, 2022 and had it on lease with Calalaska Helicopters at the Santa Maria Airport (KSMX). It is a "fire carded" Part 135, operator on Call When Needed contracts with multiple fire agencies. Unfortunately, Bell 206 helicopters are Type 3s, and CAL FIRE, and others want heavier lift for fire fighting. With the great cooperation of Calalaska Helicopters, I moved Echo Alfa to HMC Helicopters at Miami Executive Airport (f/k/a Tamiami Airport). I did a deal with HMC/Gary Freeman on N22EA, which was a win-win transaction. I would not have been in that position as an owner without the great professional support of Barry Dallwig, as mentioned below flying N22EA for 40 years and taking such great care as an A&P and Pilot of "My Baby" and Mike Holtsclaw, Chief pilot, who ferried Echo Alfa to Florida. The are great and honorable people, whom I am privileged to call personal friends and associates.

i flew N22EA for 40 years, more than any other pilot. From offshore to very high in the mountains in Alaska, Canada and the U.S. I have many wonderful memories in "My Baby".

Yes, the safety features are great. But I guess for the cost´s of the 145 you could operate two AS 350 or Bell 407 aircraft, which are for sure more effective for bucketing.

The Bell 407 is a nice cruising helicopter, but the MD500 is better for police work.

I see these things all the time fly over my neighborhood in Utah, I think it does logging? I know some Custom homes as well as ski resorts use these for timber moving.. the sound of the helicopter is very unique, really quiet but can absolutely hear the dual rotor.. pretty cool

Seen these guys in my backyard, live in Salt lake area, it’s interesting to see the Utah public safety helicopter with the giant spotlight on the side of the mountain, then right beside it is life flight picking an injured hiker off the mountain via hoist… these guys are as skilled as they come that’s for sure!

Will be a best seller Airbus make a huge mistake by ending production of the H 120 colibri, and with a Turbomeca Arriel 2K of 1000shp (750KW) engine this bird can take 8 passengers or 1500kg of sling load or even inside 3000 lbs thats a great bird for 3 million! But for this money i hope now Leonardo a huge player in this market update the console inside the cockpit because doesnt look like the cockpit console of a 3.5 million machine
